Kulturagenda: The Connected Audience 2017

The Connected Audience Conference 2017 in Vienna (14.-16.9.2017) is specially designed to make sure participants can widely share their experiences and professional practice and have access to and contact with our thought leaders, case study presenters and local cultural professionals. We have decided against many talking heads instead work with dialogical formats that let us have a great debate about innovative ideas on audience research and development and help make museums and other cultural organisations relevant to an ever more individualized society.

  • David Anderson will be talking about visitor focus: what has changed and what it means to align an organisation
  • Lynn Dierking in conversation with David Anderson, Charly Trautmann, Elisabeth Menasse and Matthias Beitl
  • Connected Audience Exchange – 4 site visits in groups
  • Evening reception at the Volkskundemuseum Wien (Austrian Museum of Folk Live and Art)  in an old Viennese Barock Palace

 

Saturday, September 16

  • Connected Audience Dialogue afternoon session with Pat Munro and Jeff Beeson will provide a participatory platform for all Connected Audience participants to mutually reflect upon the ideas, models, constructive feedback and personal experiences during the entire conference

Important notes from the organisers:

If you decide to take part in this event please book and make your travel arrangements early. Vienna is very busy in September especially with tourists and other conference events. We have negotiated with 4 hotels special room rates however we cannot guarantee rooms for late bookers.

 

2-3 weeks before the conference you will receive a detailed time table and special instructions how to reserve your space for one of the 4 site visits on Friday afternoon. A separate booking is also necessary for the Vienna calling dinner evening on the first day (Thursday) which is an on demand activity and not included in the conference fee.

 

Lunch, coffee break, refreshments and the evening reception will be provided by our organic caterer. Drinks are all organic and from sustainable sources.
