2018 wird Prof. Dr. Caroline van Eck, Cambridge University, mit der Panofsky-Professur am Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte ausgezeichnet. In Verbindung damit schreibt das Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte ein Panofsky Fellowship aus.

Das Stipendium richtet sich an Promovierende und Post-Docs (bis fünf Jahre nach der Promotion), die an einem Forschungsvorhaben zum Thema „Art, Architecture, Agency in the 18th Century”/„Kunst, Architektur und ihre Wirkungen im 18. Jahrhundert” arbeiten. Erwartet wird Präsenz vor Ort, eine Vorstellung des Themas und Mitarbeit an den Aktivitäten des Zentralinstituts für Kunstgeschichte und des Instituts für Kunstgeschichte der LMU München.

Das Stipendium hat eine Laufzeit von drei Monaten und sollte am 1. April oder 1. Mai 2018 angetreten werden.

Die Höhe des Stipendiums beträgt für Doktorandinnen und Doktoranden monatlich 2.000 EUR, für Post-Docs 2.300 EUR; an Bewerberinnen und Bewerber aus dem Ausland kann ein einmaliger Reisekostenzuschuss gezahlt werden. Call for Applications: Panofsky Fellowship 2018

Prof. Dr. Caroline van Eck, Cambridge University, will hold the Panofsky Professorship at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Munich in 2018. In connection with this professorship the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte seeks applications for a Panofsky Fellowship.

The fellowship is intended for doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars (who have graduated within the last five years) who are working on a project related to „Art, Architecture, Agency in the 18th Century”/„Kunst, Architektur und ihre Wirkungen im 18. Jahrhundert”. Fellows are expected to maintain a presence at the ZI, to present the Fellowship project, and to partake in the activities of the ZI and the Institut für Kunstgeschichte of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.

The fellowship lasts three months and commences in April or in May 2018. Graduate fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 2000 Euros. Postgraduate fellows will receive 2300 Euros per month. In addition, it will be possible for non-residents of Germany to take advantage of a one-time travel subvention.
